Audition Junges Ensemble
During the season 2012 / 13 Theater an der Wien successfully created a Junges Ensemble with 7 singers of exceptional talent, chosen among over 300 candidates worldwide.
For the duration of 1 to 2 years singers are given the opportunity to broaden their horizons within the framework of an Opera House and to prepare several roles for their future careers. Central element of the program is the study, rehearsal and presentation of opera productions of their own at the Kammeroper. Junges Ensemble is integrated in the structure of Theater an der Wien, where an important part of the program sees the young artists in small and medium sized roles in Theater an der Wien productions. Each singer will have their individual outline and working schedule to optimize their artistic and personal growth. Workshops and master classes with experienced artists and professionals will be scheduled to improve specific skills. The Junges Ensemble is neither an educational program per se nor an Opernstudio but builds on the stage experience the ideal applicant should have gained in the latter in order to meet the high demands of the daily work at Kammeroper and Theater an der Wien.
For the 2014/15/16 seasons there are openings for:
-full lyric soprano
