Emöke BaráthHungarian soprano Emőke Baráth started her musical studies with playing the piano and the harp. She received First Prize in 2005 and 2006 Firs at National Singing Competitions.In 2007 she gained admission to the class of Júlia Pászthy at Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. In academic year 2011/12 she studies with Professor Leonardo De Lisi at Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Firenze. In 2009 she has been awarded 3rd prize at the 44th Antonín Dvorak International Singing Competition , in 2011 she won 1st Prize and Audiance Prize at International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti in Innsbruck. In 2011 Emőke received the Junior Prima Prize which is one of the most recognized prize for young artists in Hungary.She sang the role of Dorinda (G.F.Handel: Orlando)in 2009 at Franz Liszt Academy,in 2010 the role of Apamia (Vivaldi: Tigrane) with Budapest Chamber Orchestra, First Witch and Second Woman(H.Purcell: Dido and Aeneas) at Bartók+ Opera Festival (Miskolc, Hungary)and in 2011 at Verbier Festival,the role of Sesto (G.Fr.Händel: Giulio Cesare)conducted by Alan Curtis,in 2012 the role of Theodora (G.Fr.Händel: Theodora),the role of Barbarina at Hungarian State Opera (W.A.Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro),the role of Hanne (J.Haydn: The Seasons)conducted by György Vashegyi. She has attended several masterclasses in Hungary and abroad( Austria, Boston-USA,Switzerland )by Barbara Bonney, Kiri Te Kanawa, Deborah York,Nancy Argenta, Eva Marton,László Polgár,Alfred Brendel,Masaaki Suzuki,Ferenc Rados .In 2011 Emőke sang the role of Fiordiligi from Mozart’s Cosí fan tutte at Verbier Festival Academy and she was awarded the „Grand Prix” of the Festival. She has been invited to concert halls and festivals such as Palace of Arts-Budapest,Hungarian State Opera, Sopron Early Music days, Bartók+ Opera Festival, International Harp Festival Gödöllő( Hungary),Theater an der Wien,Theatre des Champs-lysées(Paris), Staatstheater Braunschweig, Tschaikovsky Concert Hall, Pushkin Museum- Moscow, New Year Music Festival -Gstaad, Verbier Festival- Switzerland, Brandenburger Theater, Nikolaisaal-Potsdam, Innsbruck Early Music Festival, Barocktage-Melk, and besides her operatic and oratorio roles she gives frequently song recitals as well.
