Born in Venezuela, she joins the “Sistema de Orquestas Juveniles”, where she learns to play the violin. In 1995 she begins her vocal studies with Rosita Del Castillo and in 1998 she moves to Spain, where she studies with Alfredo Kraus and Teresa Berganza, Renata Scotto, Ileana Cotrubas, Tom Krause, Magda Oliveiro, Vincenzo Spatola.
She sings Aida in Madrid and Segovia, and she obtains great reviews with his USA debut at Seattle Opera with Aida, conducted by Riccardo Frizza. She sings Aida in Athens and at Arena di Verona to great acclaim, Don Carlo in Frankfurt, Mefistofele in Valencia, Attila at La Scala, Aida and Nabucco at Arena di Verona, and recently Don Carlo at Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Norma in Salerno, Attila in Seattle, I Masnadieri in Naples.
Future plans include: Attila in San Francisco, I due Foscari in Palermo, Aida at Opéra Bastille and at Berlin Staatsoper, Un ballo in maschera in Frankfurt, Nabucco and Macbeth at La Scala, Cavalleria Rusticana at the New National Theatre in Tokyo.
