Since 2000 the south-african tenor has established himself as one of the leading singers in the United Kingdom. His affinity to Belcanto is documented and recorded well at the Label Opera Rara. He sang inter alii Tonio (Donizetti: La Fille du Régiment) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Léopold (Halevy: La Juive) at Opéra National de Paris. 2009 he sings Don Ramiro (Rossini: La Cenerentola) at the Welsh National Opera, Bellini’s La Sonnambula in Antwerp and Le Comte Ory in Athens. Forthcoming projects include a.o. Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at the Welsh National Opera, in London and at the Wiener Staatsoper, Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Mitridate, Re di Ponto at the Welsh National Opera, Tonio and Don Narciso (Il Turco in Italia) in London, Arturo (Donizetti: Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Metropolitan Opera and has made his debut with Mitridate, Re di Ponto at Theater an der Wien 2009.
