The Spanish Mezzo-soprano was born in Pamplona and studied at the University Pablo Sarasate singing and violin as well as sociology in Navarra. She performs a repertoire reaching from Baroque music to contemporary music inter alia at festivals at Salzburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Rheingau, at Musikverein as well as at Opera Houses in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Chicago, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Chile. She sings with orchestras such as the Academy of Ancient Music, the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Bremer Kammerphilharmonie, the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg as well as Il complesso barocco and Ensemble Intercontemporain under conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Alan Curtis, Christoph Eschenbach, Emmanuelle Haim, Martin Haselböck, Christopher Hogwood, Ingo Metzmacher, Roger Norrington and Simone Young. Future plans include Rosina (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia) at Hamburg and Munich, Ruggiero (Handel: Alcina) in Chile and Donna Elvira (Mozart: Don Giovanni) at Toulouse. Numerous recordings keep records of her singing.
