The Russian-born Austrian came in the early 1990ties to Western Europe and lives nowadays at Vienna. The educated Actor, director and clown has performed amongst others at Burgtheater, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Zurich and Maxim Gorky Theater Berlin under directors such as George Tabori, Andreas Kriegenburg, Leander Haussmann, and Peter Greenaway. He also has created and performed his Solo – program und du bist raus all over Europe. Furthermore he has appeared in numerous TV- and film-productions such as Die Polizistin, The Bourne Supremacy, midsummer madness, Eine Stadt wird erpresst, Flug in die Nacht, Soko Kitzbühel / Donau and Tatort. As a director he has worked inter alii at Burgtheater, Theater Vidy -Lausanne, Landestheater St. Pölten as well as opera for children at Wiener Taschenoper. Forthcoming projects include Schiphorst’s children’s opera Gänsemagd at MQ in February.
