The Countertenor is an outstunning interpreter of his generation equally in opera and concert. He has performed worldwide at the most important houses roles such as Oberon (Britten: A Midsummer night’s dream), Endimione (Cavalli: La Calisto), Orfeo (Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice) as well as Handel’s Xerxes, Giulio Cesare, Rinaldo, Agrippina, Eotvos’ Drei Schwestern and Doves Flight. Future plans include his debut at Opera national de Paris as Giulio Cesare under Emmanuel Haim in Laurent Pelly’s direction as well as La Calisto at Paris under Christophé Rousset, Farnace (Mozart: Mitridate, Re di Ponto) in Munich, Radamisto at English National Opera, Concerts and Recitals in Europe and the U.S.A. His numerous recordings include Rinaldo and Messiah under René Jacobs, Serse under William Christie and his Solo-Album Byrdland. At Theater an der Wien he sang already Handel’s Ezio in 2009.
