The mezzo-soprano studied singing as well as piano and made her stage debut in Vivaldi’s Tamerlano at Verona. Her repertoire in Opera includes amongst others Rossini's La Cenerentola (Lyon, Rome, Bologna, Dresden, Zurich, Munich, Moscow) or Il viaggio a Reims; Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Teatro alla Scala, Thêatre des Champs-Élysées) and baroque operas. She furthermore appears in Bellini’s Norma, Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia, Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann, Gluck’s Orphée et Euridice, Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges and Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos. In Concert she sings works reaching from Monteverdi until Prokofiev. She has performed and recorded with conductors such as Chung, Curtis, Jacobs, Minkowski, Muti and Viotti for the Labels Virgin, EMI, Naxos and Deutsche Grammophon. At Theater an der Wien she sang at last Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) in 2007, a role she has often performed, inter alii at Paris, Munich and Turin
