L'incoronazione di Poppea
The native Viennese studied at Goetheanistisches Konservatorium with Hilde Rössel-Majdan and won the contest s’Hertogenbosch. From 1993-99 she was member of the ensemble at Tiroler Landestheater, until 2000 at Volksoper Wien and until 2007 at Theater am Gärtnerplatz, where she sang roles such as Fiordiligi (Mozart: Così fan tutte), Ann Trulove (Strawinski: The Rake’s Progress), Hanna Glawari (Lehár: Die lustige Witwe), Gefährtin (Nono: Intolleranza) as well as Prinz Orlofsky (Strauß: Die Fledermaus). For this role she got nominated for the Merkur-Theaterpreis. The soprano made guest-appearances inter alii in Patras, at the festivals at Salzburg and Bregenz, at Schubertiade Feldkirch as well as at KlangBogen. She worked with conductors such as Richard Hickox, Neville Marriner and Jordi Savall. At the Label Gramola an album of her with works of Schubert, Haydn, Respighi and Brahms got released. At Theater an der Wien she sang at last in 2009 in Handel’s Messiah.
