The baritone who was born in Heidelberg studied at Karlsruhe and was awarded at Mozartfest-Wettbewerb Würzburg. In 2004 he made his debut at Ludwigsburger Schloßfestspiele and at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. He performed in a wide repertoire from Baroque to contemporary music inter alli with Nagano and Blomstedt at Baden-Baden, Stuttgart, at Philharmonie Berlin, at Laeiszhalle, at Vilnius and Israel as well as at Tiroler Landestheater. From 2007 to 2009 he was member of the international Opera studio of Hamburgische Staatsoper, where he sang for example Papageno (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Marullo (Verdi: Rigoletto) or Schaunard (Puccini: La Bohème). At last he performed in Robert Wilson's production of Bach’s Johannes-Passion at Schleswig Holstein Festival auf and will return in the season 2009 / 10 to Hamburg for Lehar’s Die lustige Witwe. At Theater an der Wien he will furthermore sing Kilian in Webers Der Freischütz this season.
