Junges Ensemble des Theater an der Wien

Out of 300 applicants, seven skilled young soloists were chosen. They went through intensive training, have already worked in opera studios and ensembles, and will now make Wiener Kammeroper their new home. The Young Ensemble will present itself for the first time with the Opening Concert on October 8th, 2012.

Tenor

Andrew OwensDer amerikanische Tenor stammt aus Philadelphia und studierte bei Dominic Cossa und Enrico Di Giuseppe. Er erhielt u.a. Preise beim Marilyn Horne Foundation Gesangswettbewerb und beim Mario Lanza Wettbewerb. Er trat an der Central City Opera New York auf, war im Opernstudio der Bayerischen Staatsoper, im Young Singers Project der Salzburger Festspiele, Apprentice Artist der Central City Opera und ist u.a. mit dem Cleveland Orchestra aufgetreten. Am Theater an der Wien debütiert er in Puccinis Il tabarro, an der Kammeroper singt er u.a. Edoardo Milfort (Rossini: La cambiale di matrimonio) und Rodolfo (Puccini: La bohéme).
