The choreographer got educated at the Royal Ballet School and created choreographies for Opera, Theatre, Film and TV mostly in the United Kingdom and the U.S.A. She worked with directors such as James Cameron‚ Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sir Peter Hall. Lynne Hockney choreographed amongst others films such as True Lies or Titanic and operas amongst others Brittens A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Chicago‚ Puccinis Manon Lescaut in Leeds and Oviedo‚ Peter Grimes in Graz‚ Mascagnis Cavalleria rusticana and Leoncavallos I Pagliacci in Dallas as well as Mozarts Die Zauberflöte at Opera Zuid with Stephen Lawless‚ Händels Semele in New York, Tschaikowskis Eugen Onegin in Lyon and Rossinis La Cenerentola in Berlin. 2009/10 she will work again in Glyndebourne on a production of Janaceks Jenufa. Forthcoming projects include inter alii Massenets Don Chischiotte and Verdis La forza del destino in London. At Theater an der Wien she has already created the choreography for Glucks Orfeo ed Euridice.
