Light design
Lightdesigner Wolfgang Göbbel works internationally in theatre and opera for example at Schaubühne Berlin, Burgtheater at Vienna, Shakespeare Company, National Theatre at London as well as for festivals at Salzburg, Bregenz, Edinburgh and Glyndebourne. Recent and future projects include inter alii in 2010 on Seebühne Verdi’s Aïda and 2011 Giordano’s Andrea Chenier at Bregenz as well as lightdesigns for Opera Houses at Copenhagen, Helsinki, Warschau, Madrid and Dresden and Theatre productions for Royal Shakespeare Company. With Keith Warner Wolfgang Göbbel works very close for a very long period for example at London, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Hamburg, Wien and Frankfurt.
At Theater an der Wien he created the lightdesign for Bloch’s Macbeth, Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Schulhoff’s Flammen, Haydn’s Orlando paladino and Janacek’s Katja Kabanova.
