Don Giovanni

The in Uruguay born Bass Erwin Schrott made debuts amongst others at the Metropolitan Opera in Puccinis La Bohème, at Teatro Real in Verdis Messa di Requiem, at Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie under Antonio Pappano in Macbeth and Donizettis L’elisir d’amore in Macerata. He sang the title-role in Mozarts Don Giovanni in Washington, at Teatro alla Scala, in Florence, at Wiener Staatsoper, in Sevilla and Bilbao as well as Leporello (Don Giovanni) in Los Angeles, London and 2008 at the Salzburg Festival. Furthermore he sang Le nozze di Figaro in Zürich, Valencia and Los Angeles and Berlioz’ La damnation de Faust in Rome. 2009 he performed in Bizets Carmen and Offenbachs Les contes d’Hoffmann in Milan. Forthcoming Appearances include amongst others 2010 his debut at Teatro del Liceu in Gounods Faust, Don Giovanni at Bayerische Staatsoper as well as Le nozze di Figaro at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and in Paris.
