The in Neuchâtel born Swiss Bernard Richter sang amongst others in Leipzig, Frankfurt, Zürich, the Haydn-Festspielen Eisenstadt, styriarte, the Salzburger Festspielen and Pfingstfestspielen, at Wiener Konzerthaus, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Berliner Philharmonie, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, at Théâtre du Châtelet, Grand Théâtre de Genève, der Opéra National de Paris as well as at Opéra Comique in Paris. In Freibug he created Mozarts Idomeneo, Lucio Silla and Mitridate. Upcoming plans include amongst others Guest-appearances in Paris and Geneve as well as his debut at Bayerischen Staatsoper as Chevalier de la Force (Poulenc: Dialogues des Carmélites). Recordings include CDs with works from Haydn ans Debussy for BIS and Glossa 2009. At Theater an der Wien he sang at last Medoro (Haydn: Orlando paladino) under Nikolaus Harnoncourt, with whom he will be to be heard again as Ecclitico (Il mondo della luna).
