Light designer
The Danish Light designer studied in the USA, Japan and England. He created the lighting conceptions for the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Boston Lyric Opera as well as the San Francisco Opera for productions such as Ligeti’s Le Grand Macabre in a Kasper Holten – production. With this director he worked in 2004 for the fist time in Vienna at the festival KlangBogen for Menotti’s Goya as well as for Bard SummerScape for Schumann’s Genoveva. In Denmark he created the lighting for numerous productions at the Royal Danish Opera, for example for Tschaikowski’s Pique Dame, Verdi’s Aida, Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen and Nielsen’s Maskarade. He furthermore designed the light for the Copenhagen European Cultural Capital in 1996 and for the EXPO 2000 and Wagner’s Lohengrin at Moskau. In 2010 he will create the lighting for the Danish classical concert at Shanghai. He teaches at the Danish School for Design as well as at the National Danish Theatre School. At Theater an der Wien he worked at last in 2007 for Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro.
