After his studies at Oxford the British tenor has worked with the leading choruses and orchestras in the United Kingdom. He is a multi-faceted interpreter, who has worked amongst others with Philippe Herreweghe, Andrew Davis, Roger Norrington, Christopher Hogwood and Harry Bicket in concert. At Hamburgische Staatsoper he performed roles such as Oronte (Handel: Alcina), Flute (Britten: A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Jaquino (Beethoven: Fidelio), Andrès, Cochenille, Pitichinaccio and Frantz (Offenbach: Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte). At Bayerische Staatsoper he made his debut as Oronte and performed Arbace (Mozart: Idomeneo, Re di Creta) with Europa Galante and Fabio Biondi. He furthermore sings Tamino (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte) and Narraboth (Strauss: Salome) in Hamburg and will make his debut at Salzburger Festspiele in 2010 as junger Diener (Strauss: Elektra).
