Austrian Bass Manfred Hemm performed Mozart for example at Vienna, Munich, Hamburg, Zurich, at the Metropolitan Opera, at San Francisco, in Japan as well as at Festivals at Salzburg, Florenz and Aix-en-Provence. His roles furthermore include Basilio (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Enrico (Donizetti: Anna Bolena) at Bayerische Staatsoper and at Helsinki, as Giorgio (Bellini: I Puritani) at Philadelphia, Orbazzano (Tancredi) at Berlin, Ramphis (Verdi: Aida) at Scottish Opera, Gurnemanz (Wagner: Parsifal) at Genova, Adelaide, Mannheim and at Wagner Festspiele Erl, Baron Ochs (Strauss: Der Rosenkavalier) at Oslo and Marseille, Peneios (Daphne) with WDR Sinfonieorchester, Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) in Israel, Rocco (Beethoven: Fidelio) and Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) at Paris and in Salieri’s Prima la musica at Salzburger Mozartwoche. At Theater an der Wien he performed at last in Strawinski’s The Rake’s Progress.
