Nicolas Testé
Jupiter
French bass Nicolas Testé studied piano, horn and musicology, before he got educated in singing. He was at the Opera studio of Opéra National de Paris in 1997, where he was able to learn a wide repertoire reaching from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte to Berg’s Lulu. Since then he has performed for example at Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp and Gent, at the Glyndebourne Festival, at the Opera Houses in Nantes, Amsterdam, Paris and Toulouse as well as at the Festivals in Orange and Aix-en-Provence. His recent projects include for example Prokofiev’s L’amour des trois oranges in Genève, Gluck’s Iphigénie en Aulide in Amsterdam, Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette and Verdi’s Il Trovatore in Marseille, Bizet’s Les pécheurs de perles at opéra comique in Paris and at the Opera House in Nice. He has performed Jupiter (Castor et Pollux) already in Amsterdam. This production got released on DVD in 2008.
