The Spanish Tenor was born in Madrid, where he studied with Emelina Lopez and Alfredo Kraus. Israel Lozano performed in a Gala with Placido Domingo after winning three awards at International Operalia Competition (which happened for the first time ever). His repertoire includes roles in works such as such as Verdi’s La Traviata, Massenet’s Manon, Donizetti’s L'elisir d’Amore, Puccini’s La Bohème, Verdi’s Rigoletto as well as in Zarzuelas. Until now he has performed for example at the Opera Houses in Washington, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, at Carnegie Hall New York, at Teatro Real Madrid, with National Symphony Orchestra USA and at Ludwigsburger Festspiele. Recent engagements include inter alii Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor) at Florida Grand Opera, Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) in Boston and Alfredo (La Traviata) at Teatro Teresa Carreno (Caracas, Venezuela) with Gustavo Dudamel. At Theater an der Wien he made his debut in 2008 as Javier (Moreno Torroba: Luisa Fernanda).
