Soprano Amanda Squitieri performed in the world premiere of Il Postino at Los Angeles Opera: In the same role she will make her debut at Theater an der Wien and at Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Her roles include Esmeralda (Smetana: Die verkaufte Braut) at Opéra National de Paris, Susanna (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Lauretta (Puccini: Gianni Schicchi), Adina (Donizetti: L’elisir d’amore) in Washington and at Michigan Opera Theatre, Lisette (Puccini: La rondine) in Los Angeles and Micaëla (Bizet: Carmen) in Jesi and Treviso. She sang in New York’s Premiere of Carters What Next? (Director: Christopher Alden) at Miller Theatre/Columbia University and has worked with James Conlon, Jiří Bělohlávek and Plácido Domingo, to name a few. In 2010/11 she will make her debuts in Rome in Bolcolms A View from the Bridge and as Cover for Alice (Rossini: Le Comte Ory) at Metropolitan Opera.
