Choreographer
David Bridel’s work as a director, choreographer/movement director, and playwright has been seen on ABC Television’s Dancing With The Stars, at the Los Angeles Opera (Puccini: Il Tabarro, Strauss: Ariadne auf Naxos), the Mark Taper Forum (Whelan: The School of Night), the Ford Amphitheatre (Gods and Marionettes), the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich (Strauss: Salome, Rihm: Das Gehege), the Broad Theatre (The Soldier's Tale), the Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble, Shakespeare and Company, Franklin Stage, and theatres in New York, Tel Aviv, London and Edinburgh. He is a published playwright and author, and a recipient of awards from the British Council, Arts Council, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. He is Associate Director of the MFA in Acting at the University of Southern California, and he runs his own clown school in Los Angeles.
