Dominique Bruguière has worked with such companies as Comédie Française, L’Opéra de Paris, Théâtre du Chatelet, Théatre National de l’Odéon, Festival d’Aix-en_Provence, Festival d’Avignon, Festival de Salzbourg, Wiener Festwochen, Edimburgh Festival, Young Vic Theater London, Barbican Center London, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Burghtheater, Teatro Real in Madrid, Liceu in Barcelona, Festpielhaus in Zurich and Hambourg, Grand Théâtre de Genève, La Monnaie and Teatro alla Scala with directors such as Dario Fo, Peter Zadek, Youssef Chahine, Deborah Warner, Robert Carsen, Jorge Lavelli, Karole Armitage, Francesca Zambello, James Ivory, Patrice Chéreau, Luc Bondy or Emma Dante.
She received the Prix de la Critique in 1999/2000 for her lighting design of Jon Fosse’s Quelqu’un va venir and in 2003/2004 for his Variations sur la mort and Pélléas et Mélisande. She also won in 2003 a Molière for Racine’s Phèdre staged by Patrice Chéreau.
At Theater an der Wien her works include amongst others Handel’s Ariodante and Boesmans Yvonne Princesse de Bourgogne.
