Catherine Hunold


French soprano Catherine Hunold studied with Mady Mesplé, was member of the flemish Operastudio, where she sang for example Contessa Almaviva ( Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Janaceks Jenufa, Monteverdis Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda, with Graham Johnson Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn at Vlaamse Opera as well as Sieglinde (Wagner: Die Walküre) at la Leçon de Musique at Théâtre du Châtelet and for example Agnès (Berlioz: La Nonne Sanglante), Queen (Villenave: Affaires Etrangères) at Montpellier. Recently she performed Verdis Requiem inter alii at Paris, Beethoven’s Symphony Nr. 9 for example at Avignon as well as at Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Weill’s Mahagonny Songspiel, before she sang in Wagner’s Parsifal at Nizza.
her future plans include amongst others her role debut as Elsa (Lohengrin) at Saint Etienne, Peppa (Gouvy: Mateo Falcone) and the title-role in Thomas’ Françoise de Rimini at Metz.
