The American Simeon Esper sings internationally. In 2009 / 10 he sang Steuermann (Wagner: Der fliegende Holländer) at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Tristan und Isolde as well as Loge (Das Rheingold) and Grigori (Mussorgsky: Boris Godunov) at Semperoper Dresden and Handel’s Messiah at Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt. He furthermore performed as Sellem ( Strawinsky: The Rake’s progress), Tanzmeister
(Strauss: Ariadne auf Naxos) in Dresden and in Strawinskys Les Noces in Berlin, made his debut as Mr. Upfold ( Britten: Albert Herring) at Opéra comique in Paris, the U.S.A. in Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci in San Diego, in Elektra and Bellini’s I Puritani in Seattle. Recent and future projects include Der Rosenkavalier in San Diego, Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Tannhäuser in Seattle and Thomas’ Mignon at L’Opéra compique.
