Holger Falk was born in Regensburg (Germany) and studied in Würzburg and Milan with Sigune von Osten, Franco Corelli and Neil Semer.
Beside the classical repertoire he dedicates himself to contemporary musical theatre and has performed world premieres of operas composed by Benoit Mernier, Steffen Schleiermacher, Jan Müller-Wieland, Hans Gefors and Vladimir Tarnopolski. He performs with the top ensembles of contemporary music.
Holger Falk is founder of the German-Persian "Ensemble Hafez". With this Ensemble he has recorded amongst others the albums Schubert’s Schwanengesang, Hommage an August Stramm and Sinnig zwischen beiden Welten. Recent and upcoming engagements include Ottone (Monteverdi : L’incoronazione di Poppea) in Boston, King George (Davies: 8 songs for a mad king) in Rotterdam, Kaiser Overall (Ullmann: Der Kaiser von Atlantis) Danilo (Lehár: Die Lustige Witwe) and Sharpless (Puccini: Madama Butterfly) at Pforzheim and Recitals at Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt and at Gewandhaus Leipzig.
