Heidi Brunner
Madame Lidoine
Heidi Brunner was born in Lucerne and studied singing, organ and conducting in Zurich, Luzern and Basel. She became member of the ensemble at Dessau after engagements in Basel, Innsbruck and Biel. From 1996 - 99 she was member of the ensemble at Wiener Staatsoper and Volksoper Wien. After changing into the Fach of a soprano she had big sucesses in 2004/05 singing Schreker’s Irrelohe and Schmidt’s Notre Dame in concert at Volksoper. Further role-debuts were for example Marie (Berg: Wozzeck) and Sieglinde (Wagner: Die Walküre) at Hamburgische Staatsoper, Vitellia (Mozart: La clemenza di Tito) as well as Marta (d’Albert: Tiefland) at Volksoper and Brangäne (Wagner: Tristan) at Amsterdam. In 2011 she will make her debut as Kundry (Parsifal). Her recordings include inter alii Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde (Highlights) as well as a Solo-CD with RSO Wien. She also works internationally in concert, for example with Schönberg’s Erwartung and Messiaen’s Poeme por Mi. At Theater an der Wien she has sung several times since 2004, at last in 2007 Madame Lidoine (Poulenc: Dialogues des Carmelites). In 2010 she sang the role of Komponist (Strauss: Ariadne auf Naxos).
