Light design

The Lightdesigner Diego Leetz was born in Berlin and works at the theatre since 1988.He has created the lighting for numerous productions inland and abroad for example at Staatsoper Unter den Linden for Verdi's La forza del destino with Stefan Herheim, Haydn's Il mondo della luna with Karoline Gruber (Co-production with Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik) Abraham’s Die Blume von Hawaii with Andrea Schwalbach, Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda with Karsten Wiegand as well as Zwischen Licht und Schatten with Derek Gimpel and Klangforum Wien, Puccini’s Turandot with Alain Wullschleger at Istana Budaya Kuala Lumpur and Handel’s Ezio with Günter Krämer at Schwetzinger Festspiele. In 2010/11 he will create the light for Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen directed by Günter Krämer at Opèra National de Paris. He has already worked with Torsten Fischer at a production of La Bute's Der Große Krieg/Die Furien/Was Ernstes at Renaissancetheater Berlin.
