The Junges Ensemble of Theater an der Wien (JET) is a two-year program for seven exceptionally talented young opera singers. In each of the two seasons, we will present up to four new productions at Vienna’s Kammeroper the second venue of Theater an der Wien. In these productions, the members of the en-semble will sing the lead roles, while they will also be cast in smaller and medium size roles at Theater an der Wien. Each ensemble member will receive an individually tailored study and rehearsal schedule. Master classes and workshops with renowned singers and coaches complete the program which aims at providing the finishing touches to get young singers ready for a career in the international opera world. Accordingly, the Junges Ensemble is not an educational program or an opera studio, but instead builds on the experiences the applicants should have gained in a studio in order to meet the high demands of the daily work at Kammeroper and Theater an der Wien.
