Great success for the first CAMPUS project

The first premiere of this season took place yesterday in the second venue of the MusikTheater an der Wien: the Kammeroper. And with great success! La liberazione, the first opera composed by a woman (Francesca Caccini), became an acclaimed evening in the lively, modern and detailed direction by Iliaria Lanzino and under the direction of Clemens Flick, a specialist in historical performance practice. The interaction of students from various universities with established professionals gave the production additional freshness and "drive". Great applause!

The evening was also the first of the Campus Project, which sees itself as a place of learning, exchange and promotion and will continue to attract attention with many exciting projects! Dr. Andreas Mailath-Pokorny, Rector of the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna, Dr. Constanze Wimmer, Professor of Art Education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and Margit Klaushofer, former Head of Institute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna congratulated their students on their great success.

The students Jerilyn Chou, Milana Prodanovic, Bernad Klinar, Anle Gou, Jubin Amiri as well as Thomas Lichtenberger celebrate their success together with Rector Andreas Mailath-Pokorny (MUK), Dr.in Constanze Wimmer (KUG), Univ.Prof. a.d. Margit Klaushofer (mdw), Programme and Cast Director Peter Heilker, Artistic Director Carolin Wielpütz, Artistic Director Stefan Herheim and Dieter Boyer (MUK).

Congratulations to all involved on this exciting evening of music theatre!

La liberazione can be experienced at the Kammeroper until 21 October.
