Graduate auditions in December
A novelty in the promotion of young talent is the graduate audition of the MusikTheater an der Wien, which took place for the first time in December 2022. 53 participants had the opportunity to present themselves to representatives of internationally renowned opera houses and established artists' agencies at the Kammeroper.
A total of 115 aspiring singers from the following partner universities applied: Anton Bruckner Private University Linz , Conservatorio di Musica "A. Boito" Parma , Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia "Joaquín Rodrigo", ESMAE Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo Porto, Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music Riga, Kunstuniversität Graz , La Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève, Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, Norwegian Academy of Opera Oslo, Stockholm University of the Arts (Stockholms konstnärliga högskola), Theaterakademie August Everding München, Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.
The 53 participants selected from these had the opportunity to present themselves to representatives of internationally renowned opera houses and established artists' agencies at the Kammeroper on 15 and 16 December. Our audience also had the opportunity to meet the stars of tomorrow today.
