The MusikTheater an der Wien is back from its summer break and kicking off the new season with plenty of energy.
Experience the theatre on a backstage tour
Until 20 September, we invite you to join us every Thursday and Saturday for our backstage tours in German and English. Take this opportunity to discover our theatre from a different perspective. Further tours will also be available throughout the season.
Rehearsals, introductory matinees and premieres
Rehearsals for our new productions L’occasione fa il ladro and Die Fledermaus have already begun. The introductory matinee for L’occasione fa il ladro kicks things off on 14 September, followed by the matinee for Die Fledermaus on 21 September. L'occasione fa il ladro will premiere at 7 p.m. on 23 September at the Kammeroper, followed by the premiere of Die Fledermaus at 7 p.m. on 4 October at the Theater an der Wien.
Saturday at the theatre
On 20 September, we will be hosting our first ever “Saturday at the theatre”, a day full of interactive activities for young and old alike. Look forward to the colourful TaWumm! programme with Sing & Swing, Rhythm & Paint, backstage tours and the operetta workshop Operettenzauber, or simply drop by for coffee and cake.

From 25 August, the box office at Linke Wienzeile 6 will be open as usual:
Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
