That was ‘Saturday at the Theatre’

On Saturday, 20 September, the new format ‘Saturday at the Theatre’ took place for the first time at the Theater an der Wien. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., we opened our doors to young people and everyone else, offering a varied programme of activities to join in and discover.

Visitors were treated to workshops such as Rhythm & Paint, TaWhoop Sing & Swing and Operetta Magic, as well as a backstage tour and exclusive sneak peeks into the theatre auditorium. For our youngest guests, there was a craft and reading corner, while the opera round table offered an opportunity to ask staff questions. At the ‘Opernpost’, greetings could be sent from the theatre, with us covering the postage costs. A photo spot with a screen and fun accessories provided creative souvenir photos and selfies. Coffee and cake rounded off the offer, and in glorious weather, visitors could enjoy the view of the Naschmarkt from our terrace with its pop-up design by Schulte and Schönes.

Save the date: the next ‘Saturday at the Theatre’ will take place on 25 October. Further information is available here.
