The programme ‘Operetten-Boulevard’ on BR-KLASSIK (Article in German) awards the ‘BR-Klassik-Operetten-Frosch’ for the production Benamor.

Since the beginning of 2016, the jury of the Operetta editorial team at BR-KLASSIK has been honouring outstanding productions in the genre and nominating them for the ‘Spielzeit-Frosch’ award.

The BR-KLASSIK-Frosch is intended to show that it is worthwhile presenting operetta in a way that brings out its subversiveness, wit and esprit. It is also worthwhile believing in the intellectual agility of the audience – or rather, not letting up in encouraging it!
