STEFAN HERHEIM AND HIS TEAM PRESENT THE SEASON 23/24
The MusikTheater an der Wien starts its second season in Halle E in the MuseumsQuartier. In an informative and entertaining evening with musical performances by artists of the coming season, artistic director Stefan Herheim, together with programme and cast director Peter Heilker and operations director Carolin Wielpütz, led the audience through the premieres and programme pillars of the 23/24 season. Among the 13 staged productions, three Austrian premieres and one world premiere as well as two family operas stand out. The two venues Halle E and Kammeroper are joined for the first time this season by REAKTOR, which commemorates the 150th anniversary of Arnold Schönberg's birth with a special project. In addition to the staged opera performances, the varied programme includes nine concert evenings, late-night evenings and a rich cultural education programme.
