I’ve been a subscriber for so many years now that I can’t tell you exactly how many it is. I like the combination of staged operas and concert performances and the programme’s diversity. I also find having a subscription incredibly convenient: everything is taken care of, from the individual productions, the precise date and the chosen seat to the ticket, and I don’t have to see to any of it myself. Over all these years I have tried out many different subscriptions and for several years I’ve had a premiere subscription for the Kammeroper – because the productions I am offered there always buck the trend somewhat and because a premiere, to be old-fashioned about it, is still something a bit special.
