On Saturday, our family opera entered its second round with Oliver Knussen's Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen. Based on the bestseller of the same name by Maurice Sendak, Nikolaus Habjan staged the fantasy opera for the whole family. Young and old celebrated all those involved on and behind the stage with long-lasting applause: Jasmin Delfs (Max), Katrin Wundsam (Mum), Peter Kirk (Bearded Man and Goat Man), Zoltan Nagy (Horn Man), Matthias Hoffmann (Cock Man) and Martin Summer (Bull Man) as well as the various puppeteers and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Stephan Zilias.
