How to reach us on foot:
Take advantage of the convenient parking at the BOE-Garage, Morzinplatz 1 (Franz-Josefs-Kai), 1010 Vienna for a relaxed visit to the theater.
You can park there - just a 5-minute walk from the Kammeroper on Fleischmarkt - at the reduced cultural rate of EUR 6.50 on the day of the performance from 6 pm to 7 am the next day.
You will receive the KAMMEROPER DISOUNT ticket at the evening box office (1 hour before the performance) at the Kammeroper.
IMPORTANT: Take a parking ticket when entering the garage. When you return to the parking garage after your visit to the theater, first insert your parking ticket into the ticket machine, then the disount ticket. You will then receive the cultural rate of EUR 5.90 which you then pay directly on site at the machine.
Evening box office:
1 hour before the start of the performance, usually from 6 p.m.
The Kammeroper has a surtitle system at the upper stage portal.
There is no standing room in the Kammeroper.
Children under the age of three are not permitted to attend our performances - even if accompanied by a parent or guardian or other adult - for their own safety (due to volume, duration of performances, etc.). Depending on the type and programme of the events, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien GesmbH reserves the right to change the admission age for selected events, taking into account health criteria and the developmental phase of small children.
Every year at Christmas time, starting with the 22/23 season, music theatre for young & all will now take place on the main stage of the Theater an der Wien. These performances are explicitly recommended for children aged 6 and over. Details on the family opera at the Theater an der Wien can be found in the programme.
For safety reasons, children are not permitted to sit on laps. Theatre-goers must have their own ticket and their own seat.
The Kammeroper has ground-level access, a wheelchair space with accompanying person space (in the gallery) and a disabled toilet (both accessible at ground level).
Please note that there is no lift in the Kammeroper.
Please book your wheelchair space (one accompanying person possible) ideally up to one week before the performance by telephone on +43 1 58885-111 or in person at the box office at the Theater an der Wien (Monday to Saturday 10 am – 6 pm, Sundays and public holidays on performance days 2pm – 6pm) so that we can prepare for your visit. We will endeavour to accommodate last-minute requests up to the day of the performance.
Price: EUR 10 wheelchair seat | EUR 10 accompanying person seat
The exact duration of the performance as well as the number of pauses will be published on the corresponding production page approximately one week before the premiere or event.
The bar in the Kammeroper is open before the performance and during the intermission.
The Kammeroper opens one hour before the performance begins. We ask you to arrive early to avoid queues. The auditorium will open 30 minutes before the performance starts so that you can take your seats.
Late admission
Out of consideration for our visitors, you will have to wait until the intermission for late admission.
