After more than 200 years, Antonio Salieri's opera buffa Kublai Khan will be performed in the original Italian version for the first time on 5 April! The production will be directed by Martin G. Berger, whose exuberant imagination promises a firework display of bizarre humour.
Under the direction of the renowned conductor Christophe Rousset and his baroque ensemble Les Talens Lyriques, the late premiere in Halle E in the MuseumsQuartier will be accompanied by outstanding singers such as the Italian bass Carlo Lepore, the soprano Marie Lys and the newcomer Äneas Humm.
