Only a few days to go until the premiere of Leonard Bernstein's Candide and his journey through the best of all worlds, which could not be worse off the rails.
Based on Voltaire's text, this bitterly wicked play explores the absurdity of our hopes and failures and could not be more topical.
In Lydia Steier's production, the audience can expect a spectacle of colorful costumes (over 300!), sarcastic wordplay and highly professional dance numbers - paired with Bernstein's outstanding music under the direction of Marin Alsop. Entertainment in the best sense of the word.
